Wellington Community Facilities – have your say

What does the Plan include?

The Plan covers a wide range of community facilities (almost 300 buildings) including:

  • libraries
  • swimming pools
  • recreation centres
  • community centres
  • community spaces in city housing complexes
  • public toilets
  • other community facilities on Council land used by sports, recreation, arts, culture and community groups.

The Plan will also look at non-council facilities, such as schools, churches, marae and private community facilities as these often fulfil similar functions in some areas.

Have your say

WCC wants to hear from you to understand your use (and non-use) and views about community facilities. They have three surveys available for you to have your say:

1. Community facilities survey(External link)(External link) – provide feedback across all community facilities and your views on the benefits and suggestions for the future.

2. Specific community facility survey(External link) – provide feedback on a specific community facility you have used or are interested in. You can repeat this survey for as many facilities as you would like.

3. Public toilet survey(External link) – have your say on Wellington’s public toilets.

You can have your say as an individual or on behalf of an organisation like a facility user-group, club, resident association or stakeholder group.

Please complete the surveys by midnight Tuesday 29 November to help inform Wellington’s future community facility provision.
